A family member

Today I am going to talk about my grandmother, she was my father's mother and I lived with her all my life until she passed away earlier this year from stomach cancer.

She was my second mother because when I was born she was retired and helped my mother raise me. Before she retired she worked for a cleaning company for large office buildings. She always told me a story about how she hurt her thumb because she had to clean so many big windows in only one day.

My grandmother was very short, she was a head shorter than me and I always joke about that because when I hugged I was able to put my chin in the top of her head. She had short and straight hair, which was confusing for me because my dad and his brothers have very curly hair but it is because my grandpa's genes were more strong. Also, she had green eyes but nobody in my family inherited so is very funny hahaha.

My relationship was great and lovely because she taught me many things that helped me during my adolescence and life decisions. She never liked us calling her by any nickname used for grandmas, so, my cousin and my brothers just used to call her grandmother or something when we wanted to make jokes we called her by her name "Norma" but she always scolded us.

My cultural Radar

I read the cultural snapshot about Will Poulter, I know it from the Maze Runner movies. They talked about an album he likes and how the artist is very talented with lyrics and music. Also about a book he recently finished reading about race and the enveloping nature of masculinity. He talked about one of his favorite places to eat because of the quality and variety of food he finds there. He talks about his enjoyment of the ITV adaptation of Len Deighton's spy novel and how good they are. Also about a comedian he started seeing during the lockdown. And about one black-owned eyewear brand that designs its pieces based on its racial mix. One of the things I found most interesting is the relationship he has with artist Kojey Radical and his music, it´s as if he adores every piece he does. Now I am going to talk about my cultural radar: Show: Los 80 I've seen this show several times throughout my life, but each time it affects me differently, and it's always like it's the f...

Job

Today I will talk about a job I would like to do in the future.  Since I was little I loved to play with mini furniture later in my adolescence I liked to play sims and find different ways to decorate spaces. The job I would like to do in the future is interior design because it's important to represent our personality in our spaces. Also, I like combining styles and colors in different places for different activities. I need qualities like being critical, creative, and a good planner because it is important for this job and I have to design the space and how to place the furniture efficiently. I would be good at this job because I like to see the before and after of spaces, and discover different furniture and ways to use them, and also because I like to mix colors and styles to make the perfect mix. I don't have a specific person who does this job and is my inspiration however I have enjoyed watching shows like "The Home Edit" and "Interior Design Masters"...

An interesting trip

One of my favorite trips was going to "La Serena" because was my first time going on vacation with my dad. I usually went without him (only my mom, brother, and cousin) because of my family business but that time he decided to leave someone else in charge. We decided to go there because my parents want to visit the north of Chile and also because we want to go to one of the beaches there. We traveled from Santiago to there by car. The trip was very long for me but it was very interesting to see the different landscapes through the windows. And we decided to stay for one week because of the time it takes us to travel. Since it was a vacation trip, my parents decided to eat in restaurants, so I tried different plates during that week. We stayed near the beach so we walked there every day, but one day we decided to go to another beach that was famous for its shape but we left early because the tide had come in.  Coquimbo was also close to where we were staying so we also visited...
