A Chilean landmark

Today I want to tell you about the Cross of the Third Millennium, which is located in Coquimbo, in the north of the country. Specifically in the center of the peninsula where the port of Coquimbo is located.

I visited the place in February 2017 during my vacation with my family, we traveled to the north of the country, as it was a place my parents wanted to visit and it was the first time we made a long trip with my father. We decided to get to know the city so we visited popular places and of course, we got to go.

With my family, we decided to climb to the top of the cross by the stairs, because then we could see the whole place and also because we ate a lot during that trip. My entire family is catholic, so we like to visit different churches during our vacation. This place may not be only a church nevertheless it is also a monument of the religion, this is because the shape of the monument represents the holy Trinity and I think the monument was made to celebrate the 2000th birthday of Jesus but I am not sure.

You can see it from any point in the city, I think it is because the height is almost 100 meters but it is very impressive to see. I liked visiting it because you can see the whole city and the Pacific Ocean, as the meaning of the cross is catholic I like to see different references to the religion through the building and understand what it means.

Job

Today I will talk about a job I would like to do in the future.  Since I was little I loved to play with mini furniture later in my adolescence I liked to play sims and find different ways to decorate spaces. The job I would like to do in the future is interior design because it's important to represent our personality in our spaces. Also, I like combining styles and colors in different places for different activities. I need qualities like being critical, creative, and a good planner because it is important for this job and I have to design the space and how to place the furniture efficiently. I would be good at this job because I like to see the before and after of spaces, and discover different furniture and ways to use them, and also because I like to mix colors and styles to make the perfect mix. I don't have a specific person who does this job and is my inspiration however I have enjoyed watching shows like "The Home Edit" and "Interior Design Masters"...

Language

I started learning English in primary school, At that time I was going to a school that was very worried about English so my vocabulary was broad for a seven-year-old kid. Later I transferred to another school, a Catholic one, and my English was still good but the education wasn't too appropriate for the range of age I had so I had to learn more vocabulary by myself. One of the things that are easier for me about English is reading the words and understanding what they mean, but is very difficult for me to speak fluidly because I mix up the grammar, although I find it more difficult to write in English because of the grammar but also for orthography, sometimes I write the word how they sound hahaha. During the class, I enjoyed doing crosswords and joining words with the same meaning because I learned different ways to say the same thing. I like to practice my English by watching videos on YouTube or doing tests on apps like Duolingo. One thing I like about English is just like Span...

My cultural Radar

I read the cultural snapshot about Will Poulter, I know it from the Maze Runner movies. They talked about an album he likes and how the artist is very talented with lyrics and music. Also about a book he recently finished reading about race and the enveloping nature of masculinity. He talked about one of his favorite places to eat because of the quality and variety of food he finds there. He talks about his enjoyment of the ITV adaptation of Len Deighton's spy novel and how good they are. Also about a comedian he started seeing during the lockdown. And about one black-owned eyewear brand that designs its pieces based on its racial mix. One of the things I found most interesting is the relationship he has with artist Kojey Radical and his music, it´s as if he adores every piece he does. Now I am going to talk about my cultural radar: Show: Los 80 I've seen this show several times throughout my life, but each time it affects me differently, and it's always like it's the f...
